The $29 fee applies to each report request. Payment is non-refundable even if the report cannot be released due to legal restrictions. Active investigation reports, juvenile records, and certain other categories may be withheld under California law. If you are a victim of the crime described in the report, you do not have to pay the fee. Bring proof of victim status when picking up your records.
